Hi folks
In keeping with the travelling theme - either the magi that I am working
with, or the How far is it to Bethlehem discussion - I thought I'd pass on
the words of a song that one of our congregation finished last night.
Sorry I can't send through any music for it for this year, as it lives only
in his head, but I may be able to convince him to get it onto paper for a
later time if people wanted.
In the meantime, it's always quotable in a reflective way - either now or
around Epiphany
In my Christmas eve service, this will be immediately before my message.

In the Stars
It's a mystery to me
In my search for something perfect
I never find what I seek
Just a never ending journey
With all the ups and downs and surprises on the way
And no answers come to questions that are with me night and day
Where on earth will I arrive
How on earth will I survive
What on earth keeps me alive
When I'm journeying so far
Why is this voice calling me
Who on earth should I believe
When will things come easily
Is the answer in the stars?
Itıs a blurry line
Was that a whistle in the wind
Or something far more divine?
Like a host of angels singing
Itıs hard to know a god that you canıt see
And its harder to believe that he inhabits all of me
Where on earth will I arrive
How on earth will I survive
What on earth keeps me alive
When I'm journeying so far
Why is this voice calling me
Who on earth should I believe
When will things come easily
Is the answer in the stars?
So where to from now
Do we pack up all our baggage
And head home somehow?
Try and find a safety passage,
Though thereıs magic in exploring the uncharted
No journey of the soul can bring you back to where you started
Where on earth will I arrive
How on earth will I survive
What on earth keeps me alive
When I'm journeying so far
Why is this voice calling me
Who on earth should I believe
When will things come easily
Is the answer in the stars?
I just hope that I arrive
I just hope that I survive
I just hope I stay alive
When this journey goes so far
I hope this voice keeps calling me
I hope I know who to believe
I hope that things come easily
When the answer's in the stars.
